Dr. Ritu Salani
Gynecologic Oncologist
UCLA Health
Dr. Ritu Salani is a gynecologic oncologist and director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at UCLA Health.
She completed a residency in gynecology and obstetrics at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. This was followed by a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. During this time, she received her Master of Business Administration. Afterward, Dr. Ritu Salani joined the faculty at The Ohio State University.
Dr. Ritu Salani was previously an associate professor at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and the director for the Gynecologic Oncology fellowship program. Dr. Salani received numerous teaching awards from the medical students and residents. She has published multiple articles and book chapters with a focus on survivorship for women with gynecologic cancers and has served as the principal investigator on national and institutional clinical trials.
Additionally, Dr. Salani has been actively involved in national and international organizations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the International Gynecologic Cancer Society. She also currently serves on the Health Outcomes Research Committee of the Gynecologic Oncology Group and has served on the executive council for the Society of Gynecologic Oncology.
