It took two years and eight doctors to correctly diagnose actress Fran Drescher's uterine cancer. Fran says the experience left her feeling both scared and betrayed by her own body and the medical community. So she created Cancer Schmancer, a non-profit advocacy group, to help women become better informed and take control of their bodies. Her recommendation for those newly diagnosed with cancer: Open your world up to different options, evaluate your current lifestyle, and educate yourself. "The best decision you can make is an informed decision," Fran says.
