When Gina de Givenchy was undergoing breast cancer treatment, she noticed a real gap in the availability of products catered to people in her situation. For people worried about losing their hair during chemotherapy, Gina saw there was a serious lack of attractive, feel-good headwear. So she decided to fill that gap herself. She came up with her company, GEEG, to create headwear that people actually want to wear.
“When I went online, just for hats, or beanies, or scarfs, every website was just so apathetic and depressing,” Gina says. “I felt I couldn’t relate to the product. I just wanted something that felt like me … made me feel like I was in my own skin again, and made me feel like I was happy to go on the website.” That’s when GEEG was born.
